on April 24th, 2023 (11 Baisakh 2080), The National Seminar on Disaster Risk Management Policies and Practices was hosted by the Joint Secretary of MoHA, Mr. Tulsi Prasad Dahal. Mr. Chiri Babu Maharjan, Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, chaired the seminar, while the Chief Guest was Hon. Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Home Minister cum Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal. The seminar was attended by a range of special guests, including former Minister Dr. Ganga Lal Tuladhar, Member of the Central working committee of Nepali Congress cum House of Representatives Hon. Min Viswakarma, member of House of Representatives Hon. Padam Giri, and Secretary of Home Ministry Mr. Binod Prakash Singh. In addition, representatives from political parties and ministries, the National Planning Commission, the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, the National Disaster Risk Reduction, and Management Authority, the Police force, the District Coordination Committee Federation, the Rural/Municipality National Federation, Ambassadors from various countries in Nepal, private sector and development authorities, Chief Advisors of Home Minister cum Deputy Prime Minister, Disaster Management experts, Geologist, Nepal Industry and Commerce Federation, Nepal Red Cross Society, National and International organizations, Journalists, Former ministers, and Members of House of Parliament were welcomed as guests.
